We love to share the Good News of the Gospel. In Acts 16:30 the official at Philippi ask the question, "What must I do to be saved?" Salvation will result in peace with God, forgiveness, and freedom from sin. John 8:36 records the words of Jesus concerning freedom, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." How do we experience salvation? It is as simple as ABC.
Admit You are a Sinner - We must admit we are sinners and our need of salvation. Everyone has had a problem with sin and disobeyed God at some time. Everyone needs a Savior.
Romans 3:10 - "There is none righteous, no not one."
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
1 John 1:10 - "if we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - We believe Jesus died for our sins and desires to save us for our sinful condition. God loves us and is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
John 3:16 - "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:17 - "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
Confess - We must confess Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Romans 10:9-10 - "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Pray this Prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe you died and shed your blood for me. I acknowledge my need of a Savior. Come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins. I promise to serve you and put you first in my life as you give me strength.
